Passing Through the Galactic Ecliptic
I think I may have inadvertently side tracked a thread where I asked this off top question, so I thought I'd start a new thread and ask it here.

I'm curious what happens when we cross the galactic ecliptic which I understand happens around December 23rd.

Things change when we cross the earth's equator, the seasons and then there's the Coriolis effect where water reverses direction when swirling down a drain.

The earth has a polarity that is known to switch now and then and the sun reverses polarity every eleven years or so.

Does the galaxy have a polarity and will it change as we pass from one side to the other?

If it does...will it effect the planets polarity or the suns?

If our polarity were to change would it effect the way we generate power or to put it another way, would the polarity of our power generators change?

How about the Earth's tilt on her axis...would it likely be effected?

I'm a bear of very little brains but it makes a bear wonder..

Peace

Friend ....the difference between theory and true facts, knowledge and understanding... is observing and accurately recording and reporting events (with others usually to verify and confirm findings). Therefore as no humans have recorded this event before ..the truth is... nobody actually knows, but of course people can talk semantics and bullshit forever ...of what might happen and naturally will still be way off base

So why don't we just wait and see ..after all, it is not that far away.

Is there scientific proof we line up with the galactic centre?

Re: Passing Through the Galactic Ecliptic
Interesting thread, 5*

It has struck me also, that after the end of the current galactic cycle, that we might move into a cycle that is the current cycle's polar-opposite, in more ways than one

Who knows?

Re: Passing Through the Galactic Ecliptic
good questions. i believe that it can't be answered. something so new or novel will happen, that it can't be thought of. It's like trying to imagine a new color. The answer doesn't exist yet.

BTW, the Milky Way does have it's own distinct polarity. There is an up and down in space after all! To some extent at least

There's also a left/right bias in "space", though I never got round to researching that. Someone I trust persuaded me. "Fabric of the Cosmos"

Re: Passing Through the Galactic Ecliptic
We will not be crossing the galactic "ecliptic" as you call it this year or any time even remotely soon.

We are actually heading away from it having crossed it a very long time ago
