Is the hunt for the God Particle over ?
With a verdict expected before the end of the year, the hunt for the elusive particle may be coming to its end with plans to turn off the Large Hadron Collider once a conclusion is reached. "If the Large Hadron Collider continues to work I know we have enough collisions to produce enough signals to identify the Higgs Boson," said Heuer. "We will know by the end of this year whether it exists or whether it is non-existent."

Discovery of the particle could open up a whole new chapter in physics and help scientists to understand the conditions that existed at the beginning of the universe. "This would be a huge discovery that after 50 years we are able to describe the visible universe," Heuer added.

If they find nothing ? How much did all this cost $8 Billion? Maybe they can sell the collider to Disney and call it Space Mountain
