As an atheist, does it bother you at all...
... that according to your beliefs, all of the most evil and heinous people who ever lived... people who killed uncountable millions of people... will totally get away 100% scot-free with their incredibly evil crimes against humanity?

Does it bother you that the ultra "elite" of the world, who have lived lives of unimaginable luxury, while simultaneously stealing the futures of masses of people, will have lived an unimaginable of oppression and usury, and done so with absolutely ZERO penalties or repercussions.

Personally, I have total faith in what Jesus said about the fate of most rich people, and that last shall be first, and the first... last.

But how about you? Do you have any feelings about evil people getting away with anything and everything, no matter how diabolical and evil it might be? And if so... How does it affect your OWN behavior, knowing (in you mind anyway) that ANYTHING you do, you will totally get away with unless you are caught by your fellow man?

Yeah... yeah.. I know. There are "moral" atheists. But there's no denying that a HUGE deterrent to evil behavior is removed, when you take a judgment out of the equation.

That in now way, shape or form answers (or addresses in any way) my question.

DID he totally get away with his crimes scot-free in your mind? He even committed suicide to escape justice here on earth, or at least that's the official story.

Think about it this way OP.

If an atheist is a good man, but has 'no moral code' why is he being a good man? What is the incentive, maybe he just likes being good.

If a religious man is a good man, only because he is fearful of gods wrath, who is the better man?

Surely the man who does good because its the right thing to do, rather than the man who does good for fear or punishment is the better man?

I have no idea, there may be an afterlife there may not be.

If there is an afterlife did hitler get away with it, i have no idea.

If there is no afterlife and this is it, did hitler get away with it, i guess so, apart from the fact he is now dead and will never harm another living human being.

Apparently, the entire premise of my post escaped YOUR mind, as well.

Why do you completely AVOID answering the question?

I've heard all your BS rationalizations before.

Fact is... NOBODY is 'good".

Now why don't you just TRY and be SLIGHTLY honest, and answer the question at hand.

Not really, actually mocked Christ quite often. Arguably an atheist, or a new aged tard (quite possibly like you AC) who believed in some sort of weird German folk paganism, but certainly not someone part of a of an organized religion.

So your word is more official that Hitlers direct words from his own biography? You can deny it all you want it doesnt stop it being a fact anymore than Mao and Stalin being Atheist.

Hitler was a Catholic and he thought he was doing gods work. He said so himself many times.

Even though you come across as an A-hole, you are correct about Hitler, and the Catholic "church". Known in the bible as "The Mother of Harlots". He loved the Jesuit Order so much that he modeled the SS after the Order. Himmler was a Jesuit himself.

But like Hitler, the Catholic "church" as an institution, will be judged by God and reap what it has sown all of these centuries. The Papacy tortured and killed more people than Hitler ever dreamed of.

it is the state/mood/charge of the Earth (organism) in that time..... and upon it, people (cells of this organism) behave accordingly... in sync with it (in it... its all 1 LIFE)

so it is their momentary reaction to momentary influences & accesible information at that time [neuronal tree growth]
(today their behaviour would be not the same)

Im not sure i get what you are saying, you are asking why dont i just behave how i would want IE manipulating and killing others.

Who says i want to live like that, people who are barbarians tend to die in barbaric ways.

I value friendship, kindness, loyality, i treat others with the same respect i would like to be treated with.

Did Hitler, Stalin and Mao receive justice, i have no idea. I seriously doubt it, i think they just died...maybe the energy or lifeforce carries on in the universe somewhere i dont know.

Think about this OP, if humans were so purely evil and only had the capacity for great evil im sure we would have wiped ourselves out thousands of years ago..we are not perfect by any means but the fact we still exist without killing ourselves suggest some good exists in us as a species... we have altruistic traits otherwise we wouldn't be here.

It took the Roman catholic church 1260 years to kill around 50 (maybe 100) million people.

It took Atheistic Communism less than 50 years to double (possibly quadruple) that.

Re: As an atheist, does it bother you at all...
Some atheist's would probably say that it's all relative to one's personal morals.

So, if someone kills millions and doesn't feel bad about it, they must have some sort of psychological disease. They would have to be a deviant to the norm because "normal" people know the difference between right and wrong.

That being said, all the atheist can say is that it's very unfortunate that these evils happen, but its due to environment and psychological health and that in the end, there is no reason behind it, it just is.

I'm not christian but I do believe in a higher consciousness. I'm inclined to think that, from a higher perspective, we put ourselves through evils in order to experience them and overcome them. Sometimes playing the victim, other times the aggressor.

I’m agnostic; I hope my opinion matters to you, OP.

I’m trying to act ethically without hoping for reward or fearing of punishment in the afterlife. Because I believe (yes) that’s the right thing to do, right here on this world.

I fought and I shall fight - if it’ll take – against the totalitarianism and injustice here on this world. We should not let the “evil people” getting away with anything here and now; fight against the evil, that’s the only way to stop it, IMHO.

On the other side – according to your belief – all these "evil people" might have asked God for forgiveness - if for nothing else because of fear of eternal punishment - and get away without it. Is that okay?
