I have a friend, about thirty, has gone to a trade school, can't get a job because of his juvenile record, no, he did not eat anyone's face, so any tips on getting this sht off his back so he can go forward in his chosen career training? He has children and a wife, how long are they going to punish him for being a punk teenager thirteen years ago? His heart is good. He just wants a chance. Attorney will fix it for 1,500 to 2,000 dollars. I say Bs, cut out the middle man that wrote the stupid laws to begin with to to hang him - no offenses since, including no traffic tickets, what is the procedure from here?

His record shouldve already been sealed once he turned 18? Im 20 and my record is sealed so i should know lol i didnt have to do anything to seal it either. Also jobs shouldnt be able to check juvenile history? Ive landed a few good jobs since i turned 18 and all have required backround checks and i was hired each time. maybe it varys on the state you are in? not sure but he shouldnt be having this problem. He also could probably go to the city and state he has the record in and pay to get it sealed thru the courthouse and it definitely wouldnt cost 1,500-2,000 dollars lol thats highway robbery!

Thanks, I thought this was a little weird, but then again it is in Texas.
Okay! I agree it shouldn't cost him sht. I will send him to the courthouse - hopefully to the right court that proceeded over his juvenile conviction, and ask them what steps he needs to take. I am sure they will six step him through it, I just hope they don't waste his time in a trivial pursuit, with a never ending nightmare. Thanks again.
