Quoting: Ready2bugout But I have trouble falling asleep fast, room has to be cold, dark and no sound and I get woken up easily and as much as I try I can't take a nap during the day. I rarely dream. Than I see people that are able to fall asleep everywhere so easily and take great power naps. I know that problem, sometimes it helped not to concentrate on "i must fall asleep now" rather letting ones thoughts flow a little and try to relax. |

For nothing in the world could I fall asleep, very frustrating. |

But it very quickly got lonely and repetitive in bliss, so you decided to be born once more. You've been doing this forever. Whilst I may not agree with what you say, I will defend to the death my right to disagree with you. Some say "think outside the box". I say "what fucking box?!" xx:taosmilie: |

Say you felt like "gee i'm gunna be up all night at this right" then respond: SO BE IT! Just stop trying to fall asleep. Close your eyes and be comfortable thinking about whatever comes to mind. :sun:Ardhanarishvara | You died, and death was complete freedom from suffering - bliss. As a new thought creeps into your head you cut it off and stop it before it has a chance to finish. You might have to cut off a few idea's before your brainwaves change. After they change you will feel relaxation. That is when you should roll to your side and fall right asleep. |

I also envy people that stay asleep like one too, I have to use a sound machine at night, and not to mention having to go to the bathroom numerous times before falling asleep. It sucks Quoting: Haelo The bathroom thing can be easily solved by making sure you are well hydrated during the day and cutting back on liquids 2 hours before sleep. If you are one of those people that needs a glass of water by your night stand simply take small sips don't drink a whole glass of water |

The one thing that'll keep you awake more than anything else (save annoying noises and flashing lights) is thinking about how you're not asleep yet! Than I see people that are able to fall asleep everywhere so easily and take great power naps. I used to be like a insomniac on crack. Heres how you heal OP. All the tips Ill give you healed me. I used to lay awake until 2 or 3 am, even though I was dead tired. Now I fall asleep within 20 minutes. Avoid white refined sugar, MSG, and aspartame. All of which can act as neural stimulants. You sound low on vitamin b which results in insomnia Eat a slice of whole wheat bread, like toast everyday. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 14392840 ![]() 06/09/2012 03:34 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | White sugar was the hardest thing to give up . But I did it. I cant have cookies, candy or cake, Just think like a diabetic. But its good to give up if it allows me sleep. Sugar for some reason gets me wired and my mind wont shut down at night when it should. |
