So, we could avoid anything from Japan or the Pacific Ocean. Buh-bye fish! Problem is, that radiation has been blown over and rained down upon the entire country of America by now, so what IS safe to eat? Even food grown or raised on our own property is no doubt contaminated to some extent.

We now have satellites which can see the numbers on car license plates, and even read a newspaper over your shoulder. How is it that they couldn't locate a 70-foot long dock? Or for that matter the debris field which is floating its' way across the ocean? In addition to the obvious radiation, the debris field carries invasive critters which could devastate what's left of our fishing industry should they gain a foothold.

That's not even taking into account the cars, building materials, clothing, and even computers which are shipped here from Japan. Will a Geiger counter be issued with every shopping cart at the store?

This is a nightmare from which there is no awakening, and it will only get worse until every nuclear plant is entombed under 100 feet of concrete (and even centuries beyond that - radiation is "the gift which keeps on giving").
