probably what's going on is there is a charge on your house ground

one of your appliances (stove or dishwasher more than likely) isn't wired right and is sending a charge down the ground wire

just a guess but I bet that's what's going on

I agree, so stand in a bucket of water and try it OP...

Be careful OP, when I was a kid, a friend had a refrigerator that was not grounded properly and if you touched it and the stove, well, it found the ground it needed and would put you on your knees...it was a fun trick for friends :)

I have an array of LEDS in front of me. And upon holding either of the legs, and touching the other leg to ground, the led lights up.

Should this occur?

Its just that I have used LEDS in multiple applications and never noticed.

Plus I watched a video the other day of a "Chi Master", and the team that were conducting tests were amazed that he could light an LED using his hands (And a ground).
 Quoting: wanny1

SERIOUSLY.

Get you house wiring checked ASAP.

You could have a "floating" ground or earth off the house wirng. Possibly very dangerous situation.

Some low current LED's only need a milliamp of two to operate and you could be driving it from leaking voltage through the floors and walls if you house earth has become disconnected.

I had thought that. But it also works when grounding to a radiator leg.

And the fact that the LED dims when I lift my feet up off the WOODEN floor, has me confused.

something in your house is shorted, a three way sitch somewhere is miss wired, stoves, dishwashers, and toasters are known to cause this.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 17973420

Refer to the above reply. The LEDs light when I ground to a radiator. If I had another ground to test, I would test for current through the copper pipes. Although I imagine me and my brother would have noticed if the pipes/heating ssytem were electrified

I'm on no particular diet. I eat what I want to eat, when I want to eat it. I have been experiencing strange occurrences throughout the course of my short life, but in the last 15-24 months, things are becoming increasingly weird for me.

you understand how a diode only lets electricity flow in one direction OP? so it's pretty unlikely that it lights up no matter which way you hold it. maybe if it lit up one way but not the other way...
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 17961889

Yep. But it definitely works when I hold either the anode or cathode leg. If you have any experiments, or anything that you wish me to document on film, please let me know.

Maybe they did finish building Tesla's wireless transmitters its just not availible to the general population?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 5163648

They completed that tower LONG ago in secret.

The problem is Tesla also knew how to create radio broadcast that was only receivable by the designated transceiver.

Tapping into that power w/o the "key" circuit is next to impossible.

LEDS are a form of Diode, allowing current in one direction only. If the light works both ways, you have a nasty AC signal near you. If it only lits up in one direction you have a strong static charge.

OP you need to prove that you are creating that energy.
To do that try to light diode with your hands only.
one terminal in one hand and other on another terminal.
If it lit up then you have something.

Yes, they are.

Imagine a tesla coil powered by a rectified AC radio signal. It will continue to charge up and discharge 10kV +.

I bet Trinity is correct, an appliance is pushing an AC signal into the ground circuit. The LED (diode) is acting as a half wave rectifier, either direction.

Ok you can try then something different.

get in your shoes with rubber if you have that kind.

Go outside house and try to hold on one terminal diode and other terminal put on something grounded like, water pump light pole ore something that has connection with deep ground.

If then light up then you probably somehow generate that power. Or there is serious leak of electricity in your neiborhood

This house has had electrical work done in the not so distant past, and I know the earths were checked at that point.

A heating system was installed and according to UK regs, the boiler, gas meter, incoming main earth, should all be checked, and upgraded if necessary. The gas meter incoming is connected to the main earth, then the pipes that come out under the bottom of the boiler are cross bonded.
