Pentagon to hold its first Gay Pride event

Washington (CNN) -- The Department of Defense announced Thursday that it will be commemorating lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender pride later this month. The event will be the first of its kind for the Pentagon.

"The Defense Department is planning an LGBT Pride Month event for later this month," Pentagon spokeswoman Eileen Laniez said in a statement issued Thursday. [link to www.cnn.com]


I remember back in the early 60s when I was in the Navy, I was proud to represent the U.S.A. Last week I was in Home Depot and I was wearing my Navy ballcap and someone came up to thank me for serving. My comment to him was that when I was serving, America was a different place…different values, different goals. I then told him if America was then what America is now, I would have never served. Now paying homage to a bunch of mental defectives just validates my observations of the decadence of America.
