Did you know that Godzilla was representation of fear of nuclear energy/weapons?

I've heard that Godzilla was supposedly drawn to symbolize nuclear weapon.
Almost like a collective fear of nuclear energy.

And also astro boy was drawn as positive representation of nuclear energy.
We call it atom boy here in Japan.

The irony is that Godzilla did manifest as radiation from Fukushima in 2011.
So maybe we can look into animes, movies and books to see what we are manifesting in the future?

Fukushima radiation = Godzilla.

I guess no one would like their reality to be like Akira although its hella entertaining to watch.
