Personally I think we are mired in an economic and technological war that is being kept under-wraps, at least for the moment, but Who knows where this will go..

RBS blamed it on new software installation.... Could be... my mind is open at the moment, given I have had my hands in Computer tech since the 80s, I am at the moment feeling quite overwhelmed by the increase in the number of people I know that have had numerous online accounts hacked over the last year.. the increase seems quite incredible for it to be simply just for criminal purposes or just Lolz.
