Whatever you do , don't be tricked into having it removed or medicated . My mothers was enlarged and the doctor (in 90's ) advised it was a tumor and needed to be removed. She had it removed through risky brain surgery and was never the same again, couldn't walk, speak well or see clearly .

Yes. A slew of tests were done. Nothing was found except an enlarged pineal gland. I didn't ask the doctor what it was for. I got home and looked up online what it's fnction was. I found out that it invloves a wide ranges of thing and can affect many thing, but I do not suffer from any of them, except sleep sometimes. My headaches are a result of tension in the muscles.

Its good you had it checked. I get very nervous with my headaches, but have not had them checked, i have no insurance.
I'm hoping they will go away...

This is not a story. I actually had to come home and look up what a pineal gland was. I saw a few things that had to do with spiritual thing's and what-not, but I also saw that people have had cancer on their pineal gland. I was quite alarmed that other's have had an enlarged pineal gland. My doctor said it was not normal, but that there was nothing to be concerned about. Am I a spiritual person? What does that matter. I'd be called a lair for that as well...

I have a pineal cyst, maybe not the same thing. My cyst is 1.5 cm. I had brain surgery for something else, that does cause headaches. I was told unless i couldn't see up my cyst wasn't causing problems.
