Wood Hollow Fire update:

FAIRVIEW, Sanpete County — Fairview residents were allowed to return to their homes at noon Wednesday, ending a 20-hour evacuation of the entire town because of the massive Wood Hollow Fire.

Tuesday night and Wednesday morning, fire crews with bulldozers cut a fire break around the southeast portion of the fire.

"The dozer lines they were going to dig in around the fire line has been accomplished … and they feel very confident the fire will remain under control. They also feel confident if the winds do pick up in the afternoon, that the fire line they cut in will be substantial to retain the fire," Fairview Mayor Jonathan Benson announced Wednesday.

Also Wednesday, U.S. Highway 6 was reopened from Mt. Pleasant to the town of Hilltop. Officials said they would reevaluate whether to reopen the remaining portion of the road at 2 p.m.

Further north, the evacuation order remained in effect Wednesday for the fire-ravaged communities west of U.S. Highway 89, including Indianola and the Oaker Hills subdivision.

Church Camp Fire update:

DUCHESNE, Utah (ABC 4 News) - The Church Camp Fire, which began on Sunday, continued to burn into the southern part of Duchesne County on Wednesday.

Civil authorities believe approximately 12 structures have been destroyed as of Tuesday night, although the types of structures or specific locations where they were lost was not immediately known.

Officials say the fire was estimated to be 4,000 acres as of Tuesday night, but due to smoke and limited visibility that number may change.

State and federal fire authorities, along with local crews have set up structure protection on the east and north flanks of the fire.

Church Camp Fire Update

DUCHESNE COUNTY - The Church Camp Fire has destroyed 12 structures and an estimated 4,000 acres since Sunday.

Fire officials are calling the danger "extreme." High winds and temperatures made for an uphill battle Wednesday. Now that the fire has moved from Argyle Canyon into Indian Canyon, firefighters could face a whole new challenge.

Oil and gas well sit near the bottom of Indian Canyon about ten miles north of where the fire is currently burning. If the flames reach that area, the results could be catastrophic.

"The fire is moving... in the general area of the closest well," said Peter Goetzinger of John Kidd's Type II Team.

What's with all the fires lately? They have been trying to blame target shooters for some of them recently. I feel like something is not right here.

This has to be an attack. It's got to be some sort of arsonist shitbag and most likely AQ or some other upstanding muslim citizens.

Re: Eight wildfires spark in Utah in less than one week! 169,000 acres burned in 6 days!
It's a new day and I woke up remember a news story I had read recently. I have managed to find a video of the story I remembered. I am starting to wonder if these fires may be something more than just random.

Here is the link to the video clip regarding a possible reason for these fires.

[link to abcnews.go.com]

So do we blindly follow media and think these are started by lightning, target practice, and fireworks?

Or, do we start to wonder if these fires are started by an outside organization?

Or, are these fires simply a precursor to some sort of false flag attack of sort?

Just interesting thoughts I've had after remembering the news article mentioned above. What are your thoughts everyone?

Sure... if you consider multiple evacuations, people's homes and belongings burning, or people being killed "cool".

Thank you for your comment.

Wanted to give as much as an update as possible, although with Obamacare and the news yesterday all outlets seems to have forgotten about the fires for now.

I can see the Seeley fire on my way to and from work each day. It has been on the other side of the mountain ridge all week, but has been spreading quickly.

Winds picked up and changed direction from Northeast to east. This pulled the fire down the mountain more and has filled surrounding mining towns with smoke.

It seems my fears of the wind changing direction are coming to pass, I only hope it doesn't spread off of the mountain.

I seem to remember the recent insertion of Russian special forces into the wilderness areas that are now on fire. It does fit their modus operandi.

They are smoking us out of our homes and businesses. During WW2 there were war logistics revealed exposing this planned scenario.

I just found it too.... coincidental? That one week before this massive breakout news outlets had fire safety tips etc. Not to mention ABC aired a story that terrorists organizations were planning on starting fires as an act of terrorism.

Just looking at the news and everything recently it just seems so weird these fires all started within 5 days of each other.

Thank you for your input, very interesting point.

Edited: Originally stated CNN aired the story, it was actually ABC news.

Very possible, makes sense. Although this is all rugged mountain terrain, for the most part.

The thing I've noticed is these fires are causing evacuations of fairly small towns. All residents are being moved to evacuation centers. Ironically enough, the Clay Springs fire evacuees were moved to Delta, which is the location of a historical Japanese Internment camp. I'm sure that has no relevance however haha.

Back to my original point. All evacuations are mainly consisting of small mountain farming towns. Are they pushing people out in hopes that they will stay in more populated areas?

Which to be honest is VERY spectacular. Many lines run over this range, especially by Seely and Wood Hollow fires. The Seely fire is actually in the same canyon as one of our power plants, Huntington Power Plant. The power mainly gets directed to California I believe.

As of now they should be perfectly fine. The closest fire, until now, was the Church Camp fire in north eastern Utah. As I type this reply to you I discovered that two more have started. One is on the eastern Utah/Colorado border so that does not change anything. One also has started to the west of Heber, the Rosecrest fire. However it is directly west, over a mountain, and across Urban developed land. As of now I feel Heber is a very safe place to be, not to mention it is located in a beautifulvalley. :)
