When the US public acknowledge these facts they'll have to acknowledge the failure of the 'American Way of Life'...that'll mean that they'll be forced to apologize to the rest of the world...and somehow I just don't see that happening ever!!! |

Jeffro User ID: 19909 ![]() 12/14/2005 05:02 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The federal government has no jurisdiction over drug use. The only power they have is concerning interstate trafficking. If the drugs stay in the state then the feds can't legally do squat. That doesnt mean that they dont, and it doesnt mean that local or state courts wont cave into pressure from the feds. What puzzles me the most is why the states dont tell the feds to shove it? The only thing that the fed can hold over the states is highway funding. These funds can be raised easily enough by the sale and taxation of legally sold pot. If I were governor of any state, I would pardon everyone in prision for pot related 'crimes' and inform the police that if they arrest anyone in the future the money spent to try and convict them will be futile. That person would get a pardon the next day. The Fed was created to serve the states and was only brought into being to help settle disputes between the states. When did we make the turn that has brought us to the point where we serve the Fed and not the Fed serves us? |

Host (nli) User ID: 633 ![]() 12/14/2005 05:06 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I heard about the Lake Worth story yesterday on Countdown (w/ Keith Olbermann). This story goes quite well with the female senior citizen (68) who was tazed FIVE TIMES for allegedly resisting arrest. Those who still support Bush and (whether to his knowledge or not) the fast-track speedway he's using to lead the US into economic failure and total police state with the help of Big Brother keeping tabs in our private lives must be very naive and ignorant indeed. NO ONE of any ethical sanity would condone these actions. Namaste |

Bird flu was brought by God/nature. Murder and torture is done by many but very unlikley to be condoned by anyone. (Sadam condoned putting children into chippers) All that you post was happeing before the Bush admin, and will continue after the Bush admin. This is the way our political system has become and the way americans have allowed it. If you think that GWB has created this you are either in denial or deluded. |

" Bush has enacted 152 executive orders. 312 short of Clintons list. He has given 32 Secret orders of which 2 had directly or indirectly affect GLP. Patriot act was not Bush's idea and in fact the original version was put forth before congress under the clinton administration. Congress made changes to the patriot act and passed it. No one in congress is technically a member of his administration as they are all put into office by us. Trillions in the hole huh? I guess he must have started with a clean slate. No debt for the US when Clinton left office....Oh yeah, that recession that clinton left us in during his last 6 months of office cost the US over 600 billion dollars in those six months. Like I said, Who's reality are you looking at? |

"Congress made changes to the patriot act and passed it. No one in congress is technically a member of his administration as they are all put into office by us." most in congress did not even read it and have admitted as much...all bills passed have to go to whom to be passed or vito'd? you said: "Trillions in the hole huh? No debt for the US when Clinton left office....Oh yeah, that recession that clinton left us in during his last 6 months of office cost the US over 600 billion dollars in those six months." silly person...this thread is not about cliniton in the least...why do right wing repubs always bring clinton into things as though he is to blame for all that's going on? if this were logical...then bush number one was at fault for all that clinton was left with?? either way...bush the second has outdone clinton...other than blowjobs i suppose...but can't be sure there either. you said: "Like I said, Who's reality are you looking at?" i really try to see all sides...there's the repblican side...the democrat side...the socialist side...the liberal side...the constitutional side...etc... i really do try not to put blame where it doesn't belong. oh yeah...you know what would work better for your arguement than clinton having a slight recession? his dealing with the steel!! now that was a story! |
