you know I have to admit, the Olympics have always given me the creeps. My mother has always LOVED watching them, watching the nations come in etc., so I've watched a lot. But I am always struck at the sheer pointlessness of it and worshipping of the human physical ability - which is fleeting.

I've often thought, wouldn't it be great if all the nations paraded in in honor of Jesus Christ, and the whole event was to give glory to God? I mean, that would mean a LOT more. Then the ceremonies and the sentimentality...the whole 'paganess" of it all.

And seriously, after all those little teeny underage Chinese girls one that year, looking ridiculous in their grown up clothes and nobody said "oh what a bunch of bullshit, the kids are 10!" - It lost all credibility to me.
