Wildfire in Virginia now ( I think that makes 12 states burning) Updated with page county fire as well

Leesburg...damn, right down the street from me. I smelled it too. Though someone was burning a pile of leaves or something.

I thought the same thing. It was like 6 am and when I first smelled it I thought it was strange to have a fire going so early.

THANK YOU, I'm in NJ and I seen the weirdest lightening, it was dayglow orange. My husband said nah it's heat lightening. I'm like um no I seen a bolt, a thick bolt no splitting into different directions strike the same place twice. I have never seen lightening like that in my life and I'm not young. BTW it struck in the woods but luckily there has been so much rain it didn't burn. It didn't look like normal lightening that I have seen.

we had 109 degrees and this fire at a recycling plant.
started at about 8:30 and is still burning.

Several people have suggested that all the fires could be starting from Magma that is coming closer to the surface across the US. What do you think? Anyone noticing the ground heating up? Steam vents? More Meteors falling?

I'm in "Central Va." and about 30 minutes ago there was a large boom in our county. Of course, it's been hot as hell all day, so I'm thinking it was probably a transformer or something.

Isn't there a place where there's been an underground fire burning for a very long time... years or decades even if I'm recalling correctly.

All of this reminds me of the end of the movie "Knowing".

Right after I posted the above message my husband and I were standing on the front porch making yard plans and there was another LOUD boom. It didn't sound like fireworks. But, could have been a transformer or something.

We both heard AND felt it.

This is really random but I read this thread title to my husband (who is not into this conspiracy stuff at all) and he said that he saw on the news a couple months ago that a plot of Osama Bin Laden was to plan a rash of wildfires throughout the US as payback. I know it sounds crazy but it's weird for my husband to comment on anything from this site at all. Seemed pretty serious. Ain't sayin' jsut sayin'

Haarp could be causing all the lightning strikes and wildfires. Also loud booms have been heard throughout, so I am wondering if that could be due to atmospheric conditions. Has there been any fatalities or injured reported. Peace.

yeah colorado is pretty fun right now.... these fires wont quit till the whole state is burned to the ground.

The wildfire here in NC was purposely started by the US forest service, I bet they are doing that all over!

I'm right down the street in Potomac Falls. I didn't notice it though today. Ran outside at lunchtime and about died. Still felt like a smoked a pack of cigs.

The police are lying about the cause of the fire to make it seem less?

They wont, years of dead brush and this heat wave with no rain will ensure these fires burn for a long while. They might as well give up and get everyone to safety at this point vs wasting time trying to stop these large fires. The damage they cause will be cheaper then spending all this cash trying to stop it, fail, then pay to fix it anyways :P

From what I am told we have already spent MILLIONS trying to stop these fires and we have NOTHING to show for it.

I hope they got some rain out of these nasty storms, I'm sure they could have done without the wind.

Storms are rolling in here now, hopefully it will cool us down a little.

It was still 90 degree at 10:00 and heat index of 110. We are getting hammered in a storm right now; crossing my fingers the power stays on! Hopefully this helped with the fires. I smelled the smoke faintly couple of times today, but not near as bad as yesterday.

The town with the coal mine burning under it is "Centralia, Pennsylvania" Damn thing has been burning since 1961...

I had a rare vision a couple weeks ago or more, with fires starting in the west and spreading rapidly across the us of a to the east coast, time frame not provided or how long this would take.

And the world will end by fire?
