I agree. EVERYTHING in politics is staged. That is the show they are putting on to keep sheeple from looking in the other direction. It's getting blamed on the heat and drought but I see a whole lot more than that happening when you start putting it all together.

Especially with the Russian Special Forces training here. What one good reason would they be here to train with our troops?

just did a google search on massanutten for recent news and that one has grown to over 600 acres and that was before the storms that ripped through the entire area.

not only that, but why is NOAA helping with a wildfire?

Neighbor Mountain in the Shenandoah National Park in Page County was at 1,115 acres and 20 percent contained, according to a release issued Sunday morning. There is no estimated date of containment. About 150 firefighters are battling that blaze, which is located in steep, rocky terrain.

While the fire has grown about 200 acres since Friday, it's 30 percent contained, according to a news release from George Washington and Jefferson National Forests Lee Ranger District spokesman Ted Coffman.

The release states the roughly 890-acre fire remains entirely on U.S. Forest Service land between Sherman and Veach gaps, although it poses a potential threat to homes on both the east and west sides.

A release from the forest service Friday night had the blaze -- thought to have been started by lightning on June 25 -- at about 623 acres.

thank you for the update! I can't tell, though, does it still seem to be headed for DC? 30 percent contained is better than 5 percent, of course, but is it normal to have a fire blaze this long with such a small percent of it under control? I just got my power back today after last weeks storms....going to be combing through GLP threads to catch up with the "news" :p

I can't tell either, none of the stations are talking about it so I've almost got to dig to find info. Sad, really.

The U.S. Forest Service said the Neighborhood Mountain fire has burned 2,163 acres since it was sparked by lightning on June 26. The fire is expected to be fully contained by July 15.
