All the feared alignments have either already passed or happen every year. The Sun/Earth/Galactic Equator Alignment just happened last week and nothing spectacular happened. There is no reason the think the upcoming yearly Earth/Sun/Galactic Equator Alignment will be any different than last years. I agree, the date the mayans gave had nothing to do with an allignment. It has to do with an increasing global consciousness, and an end to a paradigm of ignorance. The only universal anomaly that is affecting us right now is the photon band that we're in and have been in for almost 30 years, but we're getting into a stronger wave pattern. This will last almost 2000 years as Alcyone shines on our system.

T Bar you are a very smart individual and a great narrator for our astronomica. The problem I see is you use information I believe to be severely outdated. I say this because I believe us to be child like in our survey of the universe. I feel most of the theories and technical data available to us will look obtuse in origin and the temerity in which we push these concepts will be considered preciptous. We all argue with extreme tenacity when it involves heartfelt honesty, you do a great job,but I feel there's alot more to our fate than our emerging science can give us

Things are brewing, small little variables that are going to lead to big effects.I've been a plant pathologist/arborist for 26 years and never dreamed we'd be having weather cycles this .......'wacky'. I'm presenting the results of all the observations in the 'Modern' Era. The results will probably change with added and improved observations, they usually do. As of now, the best we can do is work with the tools we have. The tools at our disposal are rapidly improving as seen in the ESO video. I'm just glad to be able to witness the new discoveries that will be coming. Did you hear about the new Russian radio telescope launched last year? It's called Spektr-R [link to en.wikipedia.org] and will supposedly be able to make radio-astrophysical observations of extragalactic objects with ultra-high resolution. They are hoping to provide detailed images of the universe at 1,000 times the resolution attainable using the Hubble Space Telescope. It's been operating for almost a year...
