Meanwhile back at the ranch.....................
The name of the victim killed in the officer involved shooting Thursday night has been released.

Aaron Hunter, 19, was shot by a Tucson police officer after an altercation, according to TPD. It started when police were called to the 3200 block of South Marc around 6 p.m. Thursday to a report of suspicious activity.

Two officers found Hunter hiding against a wall in an alley. He told the officers he wasn't carrying identification, but that the officers could walk to his home to retrieve it.

Over the police radio, the officers were told that the suspect was known to carry weapons. The officers said they attempted to pat Hunter down when an altercation started.

When Hunter began to flee, officers say a handgun fell. The officer drew his weapon. According to the officer, Hunter reached for the weapon so the officer shot him.

Hunter was transported to a local hospital where he died as a result of his injuries.

Hunter was released from the Department of Corrections in October 2011 after serving prison time for endangerment and weapons misconduct.

Both officers were placed on administrative leave due to TPD policy.

Re: Meanwhile back at the ranch.....................
Ok so i live in Tucson and pretty much know how the TPD work and how to avoid them lol....but not to be mean this state has a very small percentage of black folks and really i'm not going to be a racist but i have noticed that the only black people here that are decent and have a nice way of going about and carrying them selves are the refugees from Africa. I work with a guy from Sudan and asked him this question and he laughed and said Africans and Black Americans are not the same we don't even consider them real black people in Africa.
I have also noticed that Me being Mexican american see that my people act different here too in mexico you get respect if you give it and people are mostly nice but here in the us it seems like everybody has beef and wants to fight or do something stupid.Anyone else have any stories they want to share???
