Guns blamed for starting wildfires

SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) - Campfires, fireworks and even lit cigarettes can spark wildfires. In the tinder-dry West, there is growing concern about the threat from guns.

This year, officials believe target shooting or other firearms use sparked at least 21 wildfires in Utah and nearly a dozen in Idaho. Shooting is also believed to have caused fires in Arizona, Nevada and New Mexico.

BS

Maybe if people were shooting incendiary or tracer rounds. Regular ammo no way.

If that were so then gunshot wounds would be carterized and nobody would bleed out.

Or maybe they mean the ammo is making sparks when it hits dry brush. Yeah, copper and lead tend to do that.

Re: Guns blamed for starting wildfires
I am quite sure that the only inanimate object or natural event that can cause wildfires is lightning.

So, people or natural events. Guns cannot start wildfires any more than matches. I am quite sure that if you chucked matches and a gun on the ground, neither of them will leap up and start a fire.

Scare tactics as usual from the brian washed MSM.

They are laying the ground work for another layer of gun control. In addition to trying to limit the access to guns they are going try to limit (eliminate) areas to use them.
