Cant ethnic cleanse immigrants. Ethnic cleansing refers to the population of the country - the citizenry - being ethnic cleansed and replaced by the incoming immigrants.

nah, but seriously i understand that is really fucked up and should not have happened. but it did. :/ and i guess the point is that people want to throw around a lot of reasons for why illegal immigration should be overlooked...but considering our current legal borders and the current legal status of many of these 'immigrants' are still what they are today...no excuse changes that fact, not even injustice that america imposed upon (then)LEGAL citizens of the U.S.....

we all have reasons and excuses to do what we are not really supposed to do..........but there are still going to be consequences for doing those things we KNOW are against the current laws regardless of our reasoning for breaking them.

unless you are an illegal immigrant....then there really aren't any penalties....so why are you complaining again?

*raises hand* i'd love to do that....but one usually has to be illegal, or at least bilingual, to get jobs like that. i'd have a hard time getting a dish washing, maid or even fast food job at this point in my city.

i can work on the bilingual thing, but by the time i get that all done i'm sure there will really be no room left at all for the white devil doing work such as that. i'll have to rely on government cheese or back-alley trash cans.

so the illegals can thrive!




and i think an important point is that 40% of those mexicans WERE illegal.......maybe if those 40% would have taken the right steps to live here then the rest of the 60% wouldn't have suffered.

so blame the ignorant or selfish 40% just as much as the american public. and really, it wasn't the 'american public' then any more than it has ANYTHING to do with the american public NOW.

i guess i don't know, are you suggesting america do something about this?
expecting americans to be responsible for actions of the government in the 1930s is about as silly as african americans blaming americans today for their ills.

i have to say, i know i sound really bitchy right now and in my defense, that makes sense as i'm really hormonal. i would never even post on a thread like this at this point because its just "racist" to say things like this anymore and i am FAR from racist.
i don't even hate illegals at all. i worked with some and they were awesome (still are, i just don't work there anymore)

but facts are facts and laws are laws. the only way to go about anything the right way is LEGALLY and/or changing the laws....not breaking the law. that just takes people who would be on your side and pits them against you....even if you are the one in the right in some sense of the word.

These Americans were denied due process. It appears their constitutional rights were violated.

Some of these Americans were evicted from the own homes and put on locked trains, essentially exiled and banished to a country they have never lived in.

Thanks for the link. I can now use that as a partial answer when people say we cannot logistically remove millions of illegal immigrants. Where there's a will, there's a way.

The only thing I don't really get is why when I apply for jobs I must be bilingual , it sucks because it's pretty much over half of the jobs avaiable in my city. If this was going to be needed then we should have been taught Spanish when first entering school along with our native language, so I really feel cheated at this point.

It would also be nice if those who are not American citizens and want to be citizens would pay a fee to the U.S government as part of the agreement because alot of other countries do that, some have to pay as much as $500,000 per person and some charge up to 1 million dollars per person. This would help eleviate some if the costs that are accumulated and also relieve the deficit.
