But to apprehend The point of intersection of the timeless With time, is an occupation for the saint- No occupation either, but something given And taken, in a lifetime's death in love, Ardour and selflessness and self-surrender. For most of us, there is only the unattended Moment, the moment in and out of time, The distraction fit, lost in a shaft of sunlight, The wild thyme unseen, or the winter lightning Or the waterfall, or music heard so deeply That it is not heard at all, but you are the music While the music lasts. |

The Visionary brings into view what could be if certain choices are made, or what is inevitable given choices that have already been made. The Prophet proclaims a message associated with divine guidance, as in the Hebrew Prophets, some of whom also appear in the Quran. (Islam reveres both Jesus and John the Baptist as prophets). Both the Visionary and the Prophet engage their abilities in behalf of humanity rather than for personal use, but while many Prophets are rejected by the group they were sent to enlighten, Visionaries tend to be celebrated for their capacity to read what is just over the horizon. The shadow Prophet or Visionary manifests as a willingness to sell one's visionary abilities to the high bidder, or to alter their vision to make it more acceptable to society. In extreme cases, tainted visions may lead entire societies into murderous or destructive rampages; then the Destroyer archetype may supersede the Visionary, as in the case of Hitler, Stalin, and Mao. Films: Eriq Ebouaney in Lumumba; Peter Finch in Network (shadow). Religion/Myth: Hebrew Prophets (Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, and others who often chastised powerful leaders while calling the people's attention to their own failings); Muhammad (the final Prophet of Islam, who directed God's message to the Arab people through the Quran); Baha'u'llah (nineteenth-century Iranian prophet who founded the Bahai Faith, spreading his vision of "one universal Cause, one common Faith"); Cassandra (in Greek lore, daughter of the king and queen of Troy, who was given the gift of prophecy by Apollo in an attempt to seduce her; because she refused his advances, he made all her prophecies fall on deaf ears); Zarathustra (prophet and founder of Zoroastrianism). |

Who, but I, knows the secrets of the unhewn dolmen? I am the womb of every holt, I am the blaze on every hill, I am the queen of every hive, I am the shield for every head, I am the tomb of every hope... Who, but I, gives birth to all that was, is and shall be? from "The Song of Amergin" - translated by Robert Graves |

I have been Merlin wandering in the woods Of a far country, where the winds waken Unnatural voices, my mind broken By a sudden acquaintance with man's rage. I have been Glyn Dwr set in the vast night, Scanning the stars for the propitious omen, A leader of men, yet cursed by the crazed women Mourning their dead under the same stars. I have been Goronwy, forced from my own land To taste the bitterness of the salt ocean; I have known exile and a wild passion Of longing changing to a cold ache. King, beggar and fool, I have been all by turns, Knowing the body's sweetness, the mind's treason; Taliesin still, I show you a new world, risen, Stubborn with beauty, out of the heart's need. -- R. Anonymous Coward User ID: 192 United States 12/22/2005 03:36 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Once upon a time there was a man who dropped a silver bowl into the sea while crossing it. He pondered, "I'm going to make a mark on the water. I'm carrying on my journey now. But I'll come back for it later." After two months' travel during which he visited Ceylon and many other countries. On seeing a river, he jumped into the water looking for the bowl he had lost before. "What are you doing there?" people asked. He replied, "I have lost my bowl. Now I would like to get it back." People went on, "When did you lose it?" He answered, "I lost it crossing the sea." Again people asked, "How long ago did you lose it?" He answered, "I lost it two months ago." People asked, "Since you lost it two months ago in the sea, why are you looking for it here in the river?" He answered, "I made a mark on the water where I lost the bowl. This water looks the same as the other. There seems no difference. That's why I'm doing this." [link to www.buddhistdoor.com] |

Sol Invictus User ID: 11121 Denmark 12/23/2005 01:06 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Just to add more quotations to a thread where words are hard to describe the "it" that the four of us used to talk about way back when :) >>>>>>> I express myself as a member of a higher community I have forgotten how to walk and speak I am on the way toward flying into the air, dancing My very gestures express enchantment I feel myself a God Supernatural sounds emanate from me I walk about enchanted In ecstasy like the Gods I saw walking in my dreams I am no longer an artist I have become a work of art. >>>>>>>> And >>>>>>>>>> The entire world is driven by a blind will, blind and ruthless. In order to transcend the limitations of the physical world, one must cease desiring and become what we desire. To conquer others is to wield power. To conquer ourselves is to know the way. Knowing the way is like being a child. Laughing and crying all day without being hoarse. Small people hate loneliness, but the master makes it her home, her source, her mother for she knows it allows her to be one with the universe. The master knows no expectations. And therefore no disappointments. And thus, she stays young forever. To achieve perfect stillness, one must cease to will and submit to the greater whole. If something can be imagined, it can also be realized. Anything is possible. Fear is the weapon of the wicked, but a tool of the righteous. End the war between the mind and the heart. Peace must be found within before it can be actualized. >>>>>>> To stop being an artist, and become a work of art. To cease desiring, and become what we desire. There's wisdom there, I think, though as always it's more of an elusive feeling rather than just the words. The problem for me is not to find "it", know "it", feel "it", or to learn "it"... it's simply to stop forgetting it! Aut viam inveniam aut faciam |

He was not in the least bit scared To be mashed into a pulp Or to have his eyes gouged out And his elbows broken To have his kneecaps split And his body burned away And his limbs all hacked and mangled Brave Sir Robin! His head smashed in And his heart cut out And his liver removed And his bowels unplugged And his nostrils raped And his bottom burned off And his penis split and- Right! That's enough for now! I am enjoying the most extreme case of kundalini foot I believe I have ever had, since last night, Xmas Eve. It is like a lance thru my left heel. It skewers me for a time, enough to set my jaws into a clench, then it goes away for awhile. Is fun to be a warrior. |

A woman had given me some info about kundalini...i was confused because even though I found truth of the experience....it was cloaked in dogma. that night I went to the top of a house where I found him sleeping. When he woke up he put on hiking clothes and told me he was going hiking up a mountain. I told him I knew a mountain. Then I was shown a massive mountain with thousands of guru type swamis all crawling all over each other trying to get to the top. Then I loked at him and he smiled...and said...we climb ALONE! Beautiful I suppose it is your left toe or foot? i just reread and see it is indeed your left foot. soak it with epsom salt. |

When shakti is restoring these areas in the subtle body you can feel them on your head sometimes. I have dreams that go along with this that have shown me what is going down. the area behind the ear about the size of a lemon is the solar plexus. the flat part of the head below the crown is the heart. directly below that is the throat. The sacral runs next to the forehead on the sides of the head to the front of the ears ...the sixth is the forehead. ta da. |
