Re: The Hero's Journey
We create every moment and excercise choices all the time. After working with materials and substances to create objects (alchemy) for a while, one may come to understand that all one was doing was inner work all along.

This is only true for me. I believe that art is a real gateway and shamanic journey in itself.

I went for the Feng/English myself.

I believe that wei wu wei really means not interfering with the processes of the universe, rather than being mindless. There has been considerable Buddhist contamination of Taoism as well.

That's the million-dollar question. I have a few ideas... one is to open up an art studio for adults with 3-4 hour long sessions. They can set up their own stations (oils, easels, still lifes) and keep them there.

There's nothing like it here, but I studied with David Zuccharini in Maryland in this kind of setting and really got a lot out of it.

That would be bumping it up to the next level (teacher).

Re: The Hero's Journey
Thanks for the tip asgardhr. We are planning to visit the southern Oregon coast in the spring. I'll probably take mucho more pix...I've culled my webstie WAY down from what it used to be. I think I'll probably end up with a whole gallery just for waves...oh my...the power and the form of the waves here in Oregon is amazing!

Miscreant, you've had an interesting observation about no longer feeling like doing. IMO, either way doing or *appearing* to not do is just fine...and is still doing because it is allowing...being. I know very little of my past lives, but if a spark isn't there to create *traditional* types of objects d'art, that surely doesnt' mean you're not creating. Just being "here" is certainly creative...and much more so (IMO) than most of us give credit for.

Three is no such thing as an observer, you can try to play the role of being outside the creation and watching...but it's impossible. You are watching AND acting.

Oh...and freyja, don't worry 'bout the world melting. It ain't gonna happen in my universe. Now...I can't speak for yours and which version of me you're interacting with, but this chick's got plans...big plans...some may call it "delusions of grandeur". hahahaha!

6. Freedom to Live
Mastery leads to freedom from the fear of death, which in turn is the freedom to live. This is sometimes referred to as living in the moment, neither anticipating the future nor regretting the past.

asgardhr - here is some confirmation for you.

The original blueprint for the planet Earth was for creating and experiencing, and we will be restoring that. It was designed to be a playground and place for Source energy to experience itself.

ceci the master of Wei wu wei...now you have a name for what you *do*.

Allan Watts introduced me to wei wu wei....although I think tantra also covers it quite well.

..... if I ever had to pick a belief system...it would be tantra and wei we wei.

Re: The Hero's Journey
Coooool. Interesting synchronicty is I just (several days ago) picked up an i ching set. The text to explain it is by Wu Wei. Hahahaha! I was able to google wei wu wei, but only found the name wu wei...that's why I wanted clarification.

I remember dreaming one time of being on trial. I felt the panic as I tried to expalin my case...the detail I tried to represent to the court was excruciatingly laborious. Then the feeling washed over me...I didn't have to do any of that. My story is built by my beliefs and is therefore immune to my acting. The acting represents a belief that beliefs alone do not shape the world. It represented a fundemental fear. So in the dream, I had an aha experience, sat back in my chair and relaxed. The trial went smoothly and I was "acquitted".

But since deep down you are truly a heretic and a heathen, you will never let 'em cloak you with any existing belief system!

I'm actually glad I kept myself ignorant of these other belief systems. That way it's a strong event for me to discover that I've "reinvented" the wheel.

I don't have any draw to "study" this wei wu wei belief system other that to find it intriguing that me, myself, and I had a similar conclusion.

Now...need to go look up tantra.

Wei we wei...hahaha! I googled it and found out it was a typo. Hehehe...goes to show how little I know.

Funny thing is...as a lil kid my dad used to play a count your toes game...ya know the one. The first little piddy went to the market, the second one stayed home, etc...and the end is the last little piddy cried wee, weee, weee...all the way home.

lmao
