Update:
I just got a new reading, I have 11 degrees of magnetic shift from the compass reading. There is no magnetic wild fluctuations ( swinging needle in the movies) but for sure I am reading 11 degrees of change with the needle reading from earlier.

Anyone else notice a sudden change?

Naysayers: check it yourself against true magnetic north.
