OP, the worst thing the generations above you ever did to you was raise you to believe that your self esteem is the most important thing in the world. They tried to shelter and protect you too much. They did it with good intentions but I can see that it was not the best thing for you. Life is not about your self esteem...it is about doing the difficult work of growing as a human being. When you point your finger at someone else, it tells me you are "stuck" and need a little push to move along your path toward enlightenment. I challenge you to focus on helping someone else today, someone who needs your help.
