They always have done and so what? You can too. They are also a main artery in the money supply system. Don't you think it's strange that TPTB are trying to discredit all the banks? Does this not ring any alarm bells? Well, it should, because your life is about to get very hard and lots of people are going to fall by the wayside. Sink or swim. That's what is happening. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 16932595 [link to www.bbc.co.uk] I think it is VERY important to add this quote from the article as well and thank you OP - "Mr del Missier told the committee he believed the Bank of England alone instructed Barclays to lower Libor submissions." |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 15022013 Netherlands 07/16/2012 05:56 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | So, to clarify what we know now - The Fed (US) knew what was going on in 2008 (and even in 2007 had a sense that something was not right). Now we hear that the Bank Of England ORDERED this manipulation. And we read in the OP's link that this started in 2005 even: "The Treasury Committee has been hearing evidence after it was disclosed Barclays' traders tried to manipulate Libor from 2005 to 2009." So, not we see who reports to who - or what exactly? This is a HUGE question imho! |
