All the earth is equally ancient, but not all places have remained the same century after century, where millions of years are marked in the stones under your feet, some never having felt one human step. I was drawn to come here to settle, in a place were time, itself seems to have held its breath, and this land sits silently waiting for its mysteries to be discovered. Here the stars burn with frozen light in blackest of black skies. Shooting points of light occasionally dart past your vision, like arrows speeding to some unknown destination.

Here are energy vortices, hidden canyons, the Painted Desert, the Petrified Forest, the mysterious ruins in Chaco Canyon, and the Grand Canyon, and the Pima, Navaho, Apache, Zuni and Hopi all call this home and consider this the sacred heart of the earth. Four sacred mountains mark the barriers and form a quincunx, or four points forming a cross.

Between these four mountain ranges is the cosmos of the Hopi and in was within this area they wandered, settling for only a time before moving to the next spot and told to mark each past settlement with a hieroglyph. All these hieroglyphs have been mapped and lines connecting all of them form an exact mirror image of the constellation Orion. In the winter, Orion, which appears to take up a good portion of the sky looks down on this sacred ancient land as Orion on the ground looks up at the image of itself in the stars. Why is there a mirror of Orion in the desert of the southwest, and why is there a similar configuration in the desert of Egypt?

It reminds us of the figure of the Tarot, a human figure it calls the magician, who points with one hand to the earth and with the other to the stars. It says he is connecting heaven and earth.

To live between the two realms upon this vast desert is to feel deep in one’s bones the hermetic maxim “As above, so below.”

The constellation Orion provides the template by which the Anasazi, the ancestors of the Hopi determined the locations of their pueblo villages during a migration period that lasted for centuries. This “terrestrial Orion” closely mirrors its celestial counterpart, with prehistoric “cities” corresponding to all the major stars in the constellation. By its specific orientation this sidereal pattern projected upon the Arizona desert also encodes various sunrise and sunset points of both summer and winter solstices. Surprisingly, the astral-tellurian configuration includes a number of contiguous constellations as well.

The flux of ley line energy along a series of ancient pueblo sites and geoglyphs ranging from southwestern Colorado to the mouth of the Colorado River indicates the functional “chakra” system of Orion brought down to earth, which runs down the length of Orion straight through major cities. The left arm of Orion passes through a portion of the Grand Canyon.
This is a grand chakra system, which provides a conduit for the flow of energy just as in the human body, which extends from the Hopi Mesas to the evergreens and pinecones of Walnut Creek and here we find the third eye, or pineal gland. The word pineal is derived from pine- cone because of the shape.

Humanity has been left messages on the earth and in the stars. The messages would speak if they had a voice, but the voice that speaks is within each human heart and mind. The name pine cone, and pineal is no coincidence anymore than the placement of Orion on the correct position as a mirror.

The third eye, the inner eye, the eye of enlightenment is brought together in symbolism with the form of the constellation Orion, whose torso is in the shape of an hourglass. In 1987 the hourglass nebula was discovered. The light from this nebula is only now reaching the earth having taken 75,000 years to become visible. The nebula is not only in the shape of an hourglass, which denotes the sands of time running out, but within the middle of this hourglass shape is a startling eye.

The Hopi pueblos perfectly align over a distance of 275 miles all forming Orion on the ground. Masau’u, according to the Hopi was the name of the divine being who told them to mark these spots and told them to live on the three mesas, which correspond to the three stars on the belt of Orion, and are positioned just as the three pyramids in Egypt.

Nine centuries ago, the Hopi first looked up from Shungopovi on December 22 after midnight, to find the middle star of Orion’s belt, hovering directly above the southwest horizon and this precise mirror effect of Orion is visible. The Hopi have their most important ceremony at this exact time. This is a dance of symbols played out each year when the middle star of Orion’s belt is at 231 degrees.

The figure of a man emerges from the underworld, the kiva. Orion, in the stars, must be framed within the stone arch before the ceremony can commence. The human figure is painted so it appears the dancer is made of stars and called Star Man. On his head are four corn leaves pointing the four cardinal points.

The Star Man, the Hopi imitate is Orion, but not as the hunter figure named Orion, but as the original symbolic character of Osiris, because Orion in ancient Egypt was called the Soul of Osiris.

In the book The Orion Mystery, Robert Bauval and Adrian Gilbert have uncovered the same pattern at Giza, where the three pyramids on the ground are placed in the exact position as the three stars in Orion’s belt.
The Great Pyramid(Khufu) represents Alnitak, the middle pyramid (Khafra) represents Alnilam, and the slightly offset smaller pyramid (Menkaura) represents Mintaka. In addition, two ruined pyramids, one at Abu Ruwash to the north and another Zawyat Al Aryan to the south, correlate to Saiph and Bellatrix, respectively, while three pyramids at Abursir farther south corresond to the head of Orion. Bauval and Gilbert also believe that the pyramids at Dashour, viz, the Red Pyramid and the Bent Pyramid, represents Hyades stars of Aldebaran and Epsilon Tauris respectively.

The Pyramid at Giza appears to be the literal heart of the planet, which resembles itself a human body laying face up with its head at the north pole, its legs and feet to the south pole, the left hand to the east and its right to the west.

If the Pyramid is the literal heart and balance point of the earth, then Orion in Arizona is the spiritual heart and chakra system of earth.
The Hopi have always claimed that between the four sacred mountains is the center, the heart of the earth.

Here, the Hopi were led and told to protect the heart and care for the land and now we are just beginning to see why the Hopi were placed as guardians of secrets just as the secret was kept in stone in Egypt. So, that in our day, the secrets could be revealed and the messages without words could speak symbolically to human minds about things which have been hidden since the founding of the world.
