I have been feeling much the same for days. And I have been considering leaving the forum all together due to said.

I was hoping Luna would return and offer humor as she does so wonderfully...stapler, lol...

And yourself as well.

Everything feels so serious and dark.

It's interesting you bring up drowning.

I bumped an old article I found a few years ago called,

'Drowning doesn't look like Drowning'

Drowning doesn't look like Drowning...

To get an idea of just how quiet and undramatic from the surface drowning can be, consider this: It is the number two cause of accidental death in children, age 15 and under (just behind vehicle accidents) – of the approximately 750 children who will drown next year, about 375 of them will do so within 25 yards of a parent or other adult.

In ten percent of those drownings, the adult will actually watch them do it, having no idea it is happening

Then earlier tonight I was discussing this article with my family to tell them how silent drowning is...

I have posted this article a few times a year, for a few years now.

Today was that day.

Hi Dion, are you enjoying German beer night?

I think they are all on MJ thread the bomb one.

Yes I gathered that tonight pretty much, as I still retain all I had before he came.

Thank you for being a bud, I get no free rides I know that, yet the help you offer and give, is appreciated.

Once I heard him cry for his father I stopped it. As it touched on this, from the article I mentioned...

Except in rare circumstances, drowning people are physiologically unable to call out for help. The respiratory system was designed for breathing. Speech is the secondary or overlaid function. Breathing must be fulfilled, before speech occurs.

There was a parent obviously nearby as they were filming, but difficult to watch just the same.

Axo I think they call it an eye because it has characteristics of an eye. Something about shape or lens. In olden days people used this to see more. Breathing in Chi/Ki was different to apparently. The Sunlight can awaken this too is the way it sounds.

I still not sure what your asking.

I will say that when I first started meditating and even before when focused forward with my eyes closed, I would see an eye.

Just one. Centered in the field. And larger than a regular eye.

I have heard others see this as well.

Perhaps that is where the 'eye' concept derived.

hmm

Tuatara are greenish brown and gray, and measure up to 80 cm (31 in) from head to tail-tip and weigh up to 1.3 kg (2.9 lb)[3] with a spiny crest along the back, especially pronounced in males. Their dentition, in which two rows of teeth in the upper jaw overlap one row on the lower jaw, is unique among living species.

They are further unusual in having a pronounced photoreceptive eye dubbed the "third eye", whose current function is a subject of ongoing research, but is thought to be involved in setting circadian and seasonal cycles. They are able to hear, although no external ear is present, and have a number of unique features in their skeleton, some of them apparently evolutionarily retained from fish.

Although tuatara are sometimes called "living fossils", recent anatomical work has shown they have changed significantly since the Mesozoic era.

I found this interesting from you link...

Tuatara feature in a number of indigenous legends, and are held as ariki (God forms).

Tuatara are regarded as the messengers of Whiro, the god of death and disaster, and Maori women are forbidden to eat them. Tuatara also indicate tapu (the borders of what is sacred and restricted),beyond which there is mana, meaning there could be serious consequences if that boundary is crossed.

Maori women would sometimes tattoo images of lizards, some of which may represent tuatara, near their genitals. Today, tuatara are regarded as a taonga (special treasure)

Seeing that, prompted this for me

Caribbean reef squid have been shown to communicate using a variety of color, shape, and texture changes.

Squid are capable of rapid changes in skin color and pattern through nervous control of chromatophores.[2]

In addition to camouflage and appearing larger in the face of a threat, squids use color, patterns, and flashing to communicate with one another in various courtship rituals.

Caribbean reef squid can send one message via color patterns to a squid on their right, while they send another message to a squid on their left.

Well it turns out....

squid are colourblind..... perhaps it is more proper to say that they are simply radiating thoughts.... and as the electricity of the thoughtwave strikes the chromatophores, it just so happens to form a nearly meaningful pattern for an observing ape....

So the question becomes...

Just how much smarter are they than we are? tounge

Evidence of color vision has been found in the sparkling enope squid (Watasenia scintillans),

which achieves color vision by the use of three distinct retinal molecules
