But I am also careful to prepare for 'tomorrow'. It is very rare to have TN at my age. Those who do, generally have MS or brain tumor. When I was 'diagnosed' it was suggested I get an MRI. I decided against it, after much thought. Comes to find out, it is stress related, but not in the way some may think. I found out when my mother was admitting a older woman who had the same. She told my mother to ask me if I 'clenched my jaw' when I stressed. When my mother relayed said to me, I had a lightening bolt moment. As I know I did this. When I am really stressed, I will clench my jaw down tight in my sleep. And while awake. I have taught myself since finding out, to recognize this and practice not doing said. It works for the most part, but sometimes it seems I can't stop it often enough. And the nerves get pinched...I think.   |

But not horrible. Nothing like the day after Saint Patrick's day several years ago...and I woke to pain I had never known. Like a burning hot needle being stabbed into the back of my right eye. Over and over. It was an ophthalmologist who finally was able to 'diagnose' me. And give me something other than pain killers, which did not work.
