You know...about 'GLP karma'. I find it best to check it rather rarely. That way, you see the good and the bad. Together, you can weigh the response others had of you over the weeks.

It is also rather well known to 'whine about karma' is childish.

No offense.

Well.

I noticed you placed said in 2 threads. Perhaps more, but I am not aware of others.

Your laughter is cover for the 'sting'. It hurts when others 'point fingers' and you are finding justification in your actions now, due to said.

Much love to you guys!

Oh and funny thing

i have been overclocking a old q6600 processor for my father...

youll like this seer. the system has the highest stability / performance when running the Ram at 777 mhz!

this means a fsb of 388 mhz and multiplier of 9!

it run smoother then at 385 or even 375!

ram speed = fsb x 2. (hence ddr in the name) Double data rate)

chipset fsb = fsb x 4

total cpu power is at x 9 = 3492 mhz.

love light and peace!

I am not sure what that means exactly, but it sounds good. Are you overclocking for gaming?

in that case i was overclocking meerly for raw computing power. my father use his computer for photography.

i got my hand on a cheap q6600 G0 revision! :P a gift from the gods!

that cpu is a beast. it can take a lot of overclocking.

stock speed is 2400 mhz. at 266 x 9

i can still push it at 415 x 8 but that is a little hard on ram running at 830 mhz.

i just found it funny that the system is at peak performance / stability when the ram runs in 1:1 sync at 777 mhz.

Study: 8.8 billion Earth-size, just-right planets

Space is vast, but it may not be so lonely after all: A study finds the Milky Way is teeming with billions of planets that are about the size of Earth, orbit stars just like our sun, and exist in the Goldilocks zone _ not too hot and not too cold for life.

Astronomers using NASA data have calculated for the first time that in our galaxy alone, there are at least 8.8 billion stars with Earth-size planets in the habitable temperature zone.

The study was published Monday in the journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Science.

For perspective, that's more Earth-like planets than there are people on Earth.

I often wonder if conditions that are as drastically different as those on the 'hell planet' could produce unexpected forms of life.

It's discovery reportedly threw a wrench into the authoritative standpoint on how planets are born....

So the number of terran planets must be greater than every expectation.... IMO.

Re: X Marks the Spot
I know when I saw your reply Seer...my first thought was " she takes a jab at her every chance she gets"...now I don't have the device to go back and pull them all up...but I know you have it. I have read enough of this thread and seen it enough between the two of you that even before you posted it I was anticipating it from you to her..just stating the observation.

Yes well...I find whining about 'red karma' rather ridiculous.

Perhaps what you 'felt' was the discomfort caused by her airing the 'red karma' between her and another...

had a flash not long ago. i rushed to do this to not forget... i have a feeling it will by right in synch with some of you there!

Wonderful Blitz. cheer

I am not sure what that means exactly, but it sounds good. Are you overclocking for gaming?

I like your 'Perceptions' image. I believe I see what you are getting at with the 'star' as well. Took me a bit.

in that case i was overclocking meerly for raw computing power. my father use his computer for photography.

i got my hand on a cheap q6600 G0 revision!

It must get quite hot. Any accessory cooling?

its not so bad. for a 65 nm chip it is very impressive to be able to run at 1.250 volt. with the stock cooler it gets to 55 celcius and 68 on heavy load.

i changed the cooler to a radiator with 2 96 mm fans it pull the air straight out the case! menage to keep it at 38 celcius and 50 on heavy load!

pretty impressive for a old quad. intel don't make them like this anymore... that's sad.

32 nm cpu now are much more sensitive to overvolting and it can fry the cpu pretty easily.. while 65 nm cpu tend to tolerate voltage difference much better.

off course a 32 nm process is more then 4 times faster for each mhz and also the I7 4th gen architecture is far superior then the first gen core 2 quad.

tbh i don't like intel as much as i did back in 2006...they changed a lot...they are in some sort of vendetta against overclocking...

the purpose of overclocking is to buy cheap and make it run faster at your own risk... but now overclocking with intel is more like a sport...which is only availaible to high end parts..which offer no purpose to overclock already super performant parts...only to gain a barely 3%-4% visibile boost.
