I am wondering if all this was sparked by the 'Alcatraz rock' discussion yesterday.

Maybe 'he' came back. Seems right up his alley. If you will.

Here's a call back.

"The meek shall inherit the Earth" is such a popular statement cause 'the meek' have been sick and fucking tired of bearing the weight, both emotionally and societally, of every ass hole who decides that they are more important than anyone and everyone else on Earth since day one.

Most of the people in America's prisons have never lifted a finger of malice against anyone.... though others that steal the livelihoods and souls of hundreds of people walk at large.

The American (and Canadian by extension) Justice system teaches us that if you are 'in charge' then your personal preferences become a weapon to wield against those you happen to not like. Arbitration becomes gospel and dissenters become the enemy.

We can clearly see the penetration of this into all levels of society and justice....

Good afternoon everyone. :)

Interesting.

Yes. It is. Worst instituted punishment possible short of physical torture. Which would probably end quicker.

From first hand bullying experience...I can say the approach of kick their ass so they never think to mess with you again...worked quite well for me when chicks thought they could mess with me.

Sometimes it would take two beatings but they got they point. nothing spiritual about it...it's just not putting up with any body's bullshit or not letting anyone put a hand on you.

I also stood up for other people that got bullied. I could not take it...fuck it if I had to take a beating for sticking up for them...I was gonna take it. Never worked out that way...things got cleared up right away and those girls never had a problem again.

I teach my son...if anybody messes with you stand up to them. If they hurt you or hit you or something stand up strong and face them. No fear. It works for him seeing as he rides the baddest bus in the whole school home...and well you just can't be a wimp on there...nope it's a really rough group of older kids...but he stood up for his self and no problems to be had since...

Yes. And I think that is probably good advice for the way it is now.

What we are discussing is how to combat and end bullying altogether. The 'root' of the problem.

Said method while tried and true, is not available to 'all'. Some bullies are 'out of reach'. And stalk the 'net'.

If that makes sense.

Hope the birthday party was wonderful.

well the information arose here in this location a very long time ago and we are yet to discover how much of it is indigenous and how much is imported and we certainly know what is known here was known somewhere else before gaia was here
now we know all that we can ever know is because we exist to know within an environment that knows thus everything becomes knowing of enough to know they exist to know
and
we know all things knowing become knowing enough to always know enough to know themselves and eternity
and
we know there is no beginning within eternity thus knowing no beginning is peaceful with knowing never ending knowing of yourself being you

that is as far as we go in the instant and what occurs next instant occurs within the cause all we know this instant

"it" comes from that

it seems

Real bullies cannot operate without a barrier between themselves and their targets. This is 'evil' as far as I can reason.

On the other hand,

Those that have been hurt.... intend to expose themselves to socialization. So operate within the reach of their targets.

wow,

What We Know About Cyberbullying

• Depending on the age group, up to 40% of students say they have been digitally harassed
• 35% of kids have been threatened online. Nearly 1 in 5 have had it happen more than once
• 21% of kids have received mean or threatening e-mail or other messages
• 58% of kids admit someone has said mean or hurtful things to them online. More than 4 out of 10 say it has happened more than once
• 53% of kids admit having said something mean or hurtful to another person online. More than 1 in 3 have done it more than once.

Looks a good start. What we may need is a form 'empathy training' instituted in schools...

Starting early on.

Classes. Just like health or sex ed.

Thanks for the link Fancy :) Yes it is talked about quite a bit at my son's school...but it seems laws to protect such young ones is late in coming. I was watching the news oh about 6 months ago here and a teenage HS girl ran another girl over because of bullying on facebook...only then after the run over did this bully get in trouble. That made me so mad!

I would be willing to bet the numbers are far higher.
