Just wanted to share.

One of my cousins made this on the beach out of driftwood a couple days ago.

I thought it was clever.

Some whiskey is delicious. It took me near 20 years to develop the palate for it.

Whiskey is for sipping. Tiny bits at a time. Like 1/2 thimble full. That's how I did it anyway.

I cut out whiskey some months back when trying to pin down the source of my pain.

After 2 months and repeated experiments regarding, I have found that is was the Sriracha. Without question.

...

Damn you Rooster Sauce. How I loved you...
 Quoting: Seer777

hmm

How'd you find that out?

Did you just take shots of it by itself?

I heard that in India they do that to keep cool

hmm
 Quoting: V²(pi)³³³

By running experiments on myself. I would force myself to go without Sriracha. And then have some on my food and see what came of the result.

The last time which was last week or so I had a bowl of Mac and cheese :), and put Sriracha on it. 10 minutes later I was in pain for about 5hrs which was the average.

Then three nights ago I had the same mac and cheese, made the same way without Sriracha, which was hard to resist btw, and low and behold...no pain. Same meal sans one thing.

That was my final decider. Hard to give up things you really enjoy.

Indeed.
 Quoting: Seer777

Dr pepper is my downfall. I'm sure it's not healthy at all but I like it. I gave it up for a while but usually just drink one small cup a day.

Have you tried a different hot sauce and see if that does the same thing?

Well yes....You know i know of the muse and how she likes to shower her favorite talented individuals with influence and and insight. (Much to the chagrin of "suck ups" and other more serious studious types chuckle )

I will always contest the relationship between a muse and her avatar is no ones business but theirs.

So what are we really talking about? Writers block? From a muse to avatar perspective?

This would go back to that personal relationship between the two. Either one could be at the root of the problem. There is no always guilty party i dont believe. Free will and all that.

My guess is one is asking too much of the other or asking them to do something that is against their wishes. As crazy as it sounds one can have the audacity to turn down the muse and not be ostracized for it.

I feel like we are getting in to secrets and esoteric mumbo jumbo territory here though.

Take from that what you all will. At least realize they are different words that have different meanings and are not interchangeable.

Took me an hour to explain this earlier and turns out it is a commonly not understood.

This was on Imgur yesterday.
 Quoting: Seer777

IOW...apparently there is a placement to ones 'trigger finger' depending on what one is aiming for.

It was new to me yesterday. I found it particular at the time. And here it is.

Not able to search Imgur to find it though.
 Quoting: Seer777

I didnt see that but there is a science to the trigger finger.

You want to place the trigger in the center of the fingers pad, directly opposite the fingernail.

Most ppl use the depression formed by bending the first knuckle in your index finger.

This is incorrect and causes the shot to "pull" from the angles your hand and wrist create when you shoot this way.

You should also pull the slack out of the trigger first and fire during a calm exhale along with finger placement.

Shooting 101

Where it showed to 'pull the trigger' for indicated aim on the finger. Left, middle, right.

I thought...Why would one want to shoot that way? Why not just straight?

 Quoting: Fancypantz

It's kind of an arbitrary statement. Shooting is more mental than physical. It's like saying a man is better at lifting heavy things.

What does better mean? That he can lift more it that he uses better body mechanics?

I never discriminated one way or the other between sexes and shooting. I mean i am not more impressed when a woman can shoot a 3in cluster than when a man can. Why couldn't she?

I think you have to add qualifiers to the statement. A woman tends to make a better sniper than a man and a man tends to handle an AR15 in an urban combat scenario better.
For example.

^^^That was arbitrary as well. Just trying to frame my thoughts on it.

God, bringing sexes into things complicates it. Shooting is an individual merit with many factors that neither enhance or decrease by someones sex ultimately, is what i am trying say.
