I just watched the sun go down over the Bay.

It was a beautiful day.

Frogs, salt, lightening, keys, air, cranes and turtles...

Haha...that's how my day breaks down.

hooray you had sun today tounge
do you get crickets
i like the sound of locations that have crickets and associated sounds most of the year
takes a while to become re used to, the continuous background "zing" in the air
don`t know what has prompted me to reminisce over what i have not heard for ages but this moment i hear it and miss it
 Quoting: aether

this scenario can often be found down here where I live Aether with the water and all

Now imagine this with a campfire a beer or two and a group of people just chilling out ;)

Not so much...

I often listen for crickets as they remind me of summer nights from my childhood...but they are not around like they were in my youth. Perhaps it is too wet for them here.

You can hear the crash of the ocean really well, being that is it just on the other side of the spit.

I was about to post an image of my Bay on my previous post, but decided against it.

It is very similar to the image on the youtube vid you posted...so now I will.

His accident report :( and it was on my birthday as well

[link to www.bendbugle.com]

La GRANDE – A 44-year-old truck driver from Bend, hauling a load of apples, apparently pulled over on the shoulder of Interstate 84 to fix a mechanical problem and was killed when his parked rig was hit by another semi near the Mt. Emily Junction, between Pendleton and La Grande, Oregon State Police reported.

Harold Michael Richardson was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, which occurred around 7:10 a.m. Wednesday on eastbound I-84 near Milepost 243, said OSP Lt. Reg Madsen. He was driving a 1997 Freightliner tractor and refrigeration trailer for Gulick Transportation Inc.

Robert S. Huey, 50, of Gig Harbor, Wash., was traveling eastbound in the right lane, operating a 1998 Freightliner tractor and triple-trailer combination for USF Reddaway Inc., when his rig struck the parked semi near the summit of the Blue Mountains. Huey sustained minor injuries and was taken to the Grande Ronde Hospital in La Grande, Madsen said.

OSP officers are conducting an accident reconstruction, to determine why Huey’s rig struck the parked semi truck, which was “fully off” the roadway, on the shoulder, according to Sgt. Scott Moore.

“We’re not sure” what occurred, Moore said, but it’s believed Richardson was standing on the rig, working inside the engine compartment when the crash happened. “It was more of a glancing blow,” the sergeant said, and Huey’s rig “slid around the left side” of Richardson’s in the crash.

I made it thru it by consoling myself that God knowing he was special to me decided to take him on my birthday of all the other days of the year that could have been chosen.
He had his faults like we all do but he would give the shirt off his back to anyone and help anyone in need. He was special and indeed missed.
Not sure why since the Sandy shooting thing he has been so heavily on my mind lately.
At times I can still hear him tell me Sis... Im proud of you hf

Well, perhaps the message being that he has always been there for you, in your corner, so he continues to be to this day.

That is why he is around. His smile evoking your own.

He who enjoyed to see others smile. The shared laughter and mirth of memory.

Tried together with grief of passing.

He is around you as quick as a thought.

But has been around more so this last month. Due the...tragedies. He knew you needed him.

This is getting very emotional. I may have to pull back.
