Every time some stupid shit fucks up some public place with a handgun, they talk about gun control. Every time some stupid shit fucks up some public place with a knife, they say nothing and pump up the ginzu ads. I fully believe that knives, forks, spears, and pitchforks... anything sharp and pokey should be regulated or OUTLAWED. |

It must. While we're on the subject of knives, and forks... you know, people can choke on spoons. Hrm... we need to outlaw them. Also! I think my girlfriend poisoned me with cholesteral and salt on my baked potato. OUTLAW SALT AND BUTTER! YES! We must outlaw ALL THE THINGS! |

Switzerland has one of the best welfare systems in the world, e.g. free healthcare and timewise unlimited money for the jobless including money for participating at social life of society (e.g. money for cinema etc.). From your POV ist that pure communism. That's the reason why the Swiss are peaceful people inspite of gun-rights! If you want to copy the Swiss-System you have first to revover your totaly destroyed social-system which let the jobless simply starve. |

The majority of violent gun crimes committed in the United States are by lawless people who obtain guns illegally, i.e. theft, black market, etc. How do you get immoral and amoral people to become moral? This is the problem. Stricter gun regulations only restrict responsible gun owners. |

If you want to copy the Swiss-System you have first to revover your totaly destroyed social-system which let the jobless simply starve. A welfare state in which everyone benefits, is an entirely different model than what we have in the US. In the US, a substantial number of the population is expected to work, in order to provide benefits for a minority of the population who do not work. Want food stamps, free housing, free education and healthcare? If you have a job you want get it. You might get some foodstamps, but that's about it, and it won't be as much as people who've made a career out of mooching off the rest of us get. Socialism works when everyone benefits, but that's not how it's done in the US.
