I am not a US citizen, but how I understand it, it can be summarized by the french revolution motto:
Freedom, equality and brotherhood.
But this only represents ideas and have no basis in reality of the human nature.
So the consequences are more rules and laws and bigger government, to force everyone into a model they want for us.
The libertarians talk freedom, but it only leads to serfdom.
It is typical that when someone wants to pretend a cause and effect they name themselves by the effect (i.e. "we want liberty" = "libertarians")
But all the causes they use to get it are hidden agendas.
Making causes (not real) so that they can get a result, effect.
Cause - effect = The Hegelian Dialectic
= New rules = less freedom.
Quoting: Anonymous Coward 20432052 You are mostly correct. I would make the following amendment: "The [Republicans and Democrats] talk freedom, but it only leads to serfdom." Quoting: Anonymous Coward 20432052 Libertarians in the United States are actually sincere, but have almost no presence on the political landscape.
