Quoting: Anonymous Coward 14451086 Here is the language proposed in Baucus' amendment: Section 1. Congress shall have the power to regulate the contribution of funds by corporations and labor organizations to a candidate for election to, or for nomination for election to, a Federal office, and the power to regulate the expenditure of funds by corporations and labor organizations made in support of, or opposition to, such candidates. Section 2. A State shall have the power to regulate the contribution of funds by corporations and labor organizations to a candidate for election to, or for nomination for election to, public office in the State, and the power to regulate the expenditure of funds by corporations and labor organizations made in support of, or opposition to, such candidates. Section 3. Nothing contained in this Amendment shall be construed to allow Congress or a State to make any law abridging the freedom of the press. [link to www.kpax.com] The way they worded section 1 makes me feel like congress can direct funds to whomever they see fit or cut someone off if they don't like them? |

The minimum wage must not be increased for the benefit of congress. 2. Executive orders are not allowed. 3. Every member of congress must justify his or her position every year in order to remain in office. If they have had a negative impact on the country, they must retire. |

AZGal User ID: 1486221 United States 07/25/2012 12:55 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | NO MORE FUCKING EXECUTIVE ORDERS - MOST FUCKING ABUSED POWER Quoting: Anonymous Coward 19261562 WHERE DID IT EVEN COME FROM The first-ever EO was signed by president (and Freemason, crypto-J, Illuminatus, tyrant, and executive of the British East India Company) George Washington. It was to recognize Tgiving as a national holiday. Every president since has pushed the envelope a little bit further. Actually, with the exception of the parenthetical remarks the above is the sanitized version. The TRUTH is that it was designed that way from the very beginning. All you morons who think you're "free" are fucking clueless! You constantly bring up the CONstitution, yet you have no clue what is in the damned thing, only what some talking heads (who are players themselves or just ignorant) tell you it says. GET A CLUE: It is a LEGAL document drafted by ATTORNEYS. EVERY word in that thing has a LEGAL meaning that is frequently COMPLETELY DIFFERENT from plain ole Englsh. |
