NOAA info indicates the anomalous readings were caused by a defective buoy which has since been repaired. There were no alarming readings coming from any adjacent sites. Sometimes stuff thats been floating in the ocean for a few years just requires maintenance; sort of like a car. No reason to resort to momentous predictions that are later found to be mistaken . . .
