Never Under Estimate Grandma
Over the holidays, we walked in the door at Gmas house. It always smells sooo good. A cross between peanut brittle, fresh bread and turkey. Bing Crosby music was blaring from the old phonograph. It was like a million other Christmas holidays. But this day Gma had a smile of satisfaction on her face… we turned and looked at Gpa, and concluded that a recent dip of Egg Nog & Rum took him out of the picture… it must be something else.

It only took a minute… and she started telling us about her new computer. She said, “my monitor is not speaking to my printer.” “And furthermore this is after I used the mouse to tell it what to do… apparently its not working either.” “The printer just sits there,” she said.

“So after many hours of wondering what to do, I kicked the grey box on the floor that says HP on the front.” “It still didn’t pay attention.” “So I retrieved the grey box from across the room and plugged it back in, and guess what… it printed my letter.” “Now I understand what booting up means.” “And see these nice new steel toe boots Gpa bought me?” “I plan to boot it up every morning, so that this new fangled machine doesn’t get the idea… that I don’t know how to push its buttons.”

“Good for you Gma,” we said.

Re: Never Under Estimate Grandma
My grandmother was 5 foot tall. It was the goal of all of us grandkids to be able to look down on grandma.

My cousin Terry went up to her one day & asked her "Grandma, when are you going to grow up?" He found himself on the floor with a very strong grip around his hands.

She asked him " What did you say?" He said "I love you grandma" to which her reply was "I thought that was what you said".

I think my cousin Terry was around 13 or 14 years old at the time.

The risk far outweighs any benefit as the risk will vary from child to child.
