Anonymous Coward User ID: 20402331 United States 08/02/2012 03:05 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | When you have leftovers of a good meal, what is your complete, predominant decision/priority tree? For examples: do you repackage the meal in basically the same presentation for a lunch the next day? Or do you typically aggregate for making a soup, casserole, breakfast fry up? How concerned/paranoid are you for different food types before you get them refrigerated? If you transferred things like condiments from store packaging to table dishes, do you put them back in the original containers, store them in the tableware, or move to resuable plasticware? Thanks OP! |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 1221657 United States 08/02/2012 03:19 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | OP has no idea what it's like looking for work. If you have worked for many years and are then laid off, and you spend your days applying and interviewing and talking on the phone and meeting people in person and preparing for an interview for a week only to be dropped for a person on an H1B visa who may be less qualified but who can be paid much less.... Well, it's stupid to make a blanket statement about folk here who want to work but for some reason can't get hired. Maybe it's because -they are over 40 years old -they don't look pretty or young enough -they have been out of work for a few months -they are missing one skill that the job description requires and the company isn't willing to train -they live in a town that isn't hiring -they don't speak 3 languages -they look a little desperate because they've been interviewing for months -their clothes are a little ragged because they're out of money -they look a little tired because they've not had a good night sleep in weeks since they're worried about paying the bills -their credit report sucks because they have no income -they move a little slower since they have been sick and have no health insurance... You can't just assume people are out of work because they are lazy. The world is different now and getting a job is not so easy. You are lucky you are working. Be grateful. Some day it may be you who gets laid off through no fault of your own. Then you will understand. |

Wait until you are older. People will look at you differently. They'll see you as a liability. As someone who may get sick more often, or who may need higher pay. You will find yourself let go from a job after working hard for years. You will see the years of working hard and being dedicated were all for naught. Then you will understand. Anonymous Coward User ID: 1697229 08/02/2012 04:27 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | last year i was job hunting and saw a help wanted sign at a gamestop and i know games so i applied. About 1111 people showed up. There were 2 lines one for part time cashier and one for full time manager so i applied for the full time position. Out of those thousand or so people i was one of 8 people who made it to second interview. But i didnt get it. I have a high i.q. And a college education but the jobs in my field are nonexistent. Im an artist and art jobs are few and far between in a tough economy. I expected to be some sort of advertising executive by now. Im still paying that college loan. I currently have a full time factory job with benefits but it pays about what the average mcjob pays. Times are hard. Try not to be a dick if you are fortunate enough to have a job. |
