Gizzie,
We just passed the anniversary of the White Wolf Fault, the swarm is tied between the Garlock Fault and White Wolf.
Google: Tehachapi Quake and tie it into the White Wolf Swarm.
Quoting: Sandbox Soldier 11235712 Thanks for that....Had a quick look through the wikis for the above faults and noticed the San Andreas fault is 50km away too. A lot of fault lines close by and some major earthquakes been in that general area in the past.. When looking at the Tehachapi quake wiki, noticed it mentioned that the Garlock last ruptured 500 years ago. When I looked at the Garlock wiki it stated that this is not a particularly active fault and it goes on to state that Garlock will produce another major quake at some point in the future... Got plenty of reading to do, thank you.... I've been watching the Garlock fault for quite some time now, the last six months has seen a dramatic increase in seismicity. The eastern Mojave seismic zone is ripe with stress. I'm positive that well see a 7M near the Hector Mine Fault in 2012. Thanks for the great read.
