Some separate their Religious observance from their Gnostic discussion groups and other secular activities, most Rosicrucian's I know are Christian, but they have a bit more esoteric view of the Bible and other Religious dogma...

Steiner is repetitious, Manly P. Hall is the best of them...

Mr. Hall never based his esoteric knowledge on experience. Rather, he based his understanding on what he researched. Lets call him "the father of rabbit hole mining".
Spend time in his Magnus Opus. (here is a hint-start at the end). Mr Hall enjoyed puzzles.

As for the others you mentioned they have penned some rather interesting works. Sadly they keyed their ego.

Those who seek understanding through the path of "The" Philosophy. Do so with an ear to the ground and an eye to the heavens.
