It really all is going down the toilet, isn't it?
Since it's in the Constitution, presumably a later legislature could reclaim those rights to advise and consent. But it would have to overcome cloture in the Senate, etc.
Traitors. (Lieberman and traitor in the same sentence is redundant.)
