A friend of mine was in the US Navy in the 1950's, witnessed the first H-bomb test at Bikini atoll, went ashore with other enlisted men to retrieve artifacts while the officers stayed safely aboard ship. This deadly weapon is real, does work, does kill, and we are all in jeopardy.

No, I'm sure they would agree. You see, Operation Meeting house killed over 100,000 in Tokyo. The operation was one flight mission, using CONVETIONAL muntions.

The fact is, the USAAF knew how to use CONVENTIONAL incendiary bombs in such a way as to cause a firestorm that was even more destructive than Hiroshima by many times.

Here's another example of how the government plays you like a chump with the brain of a 11-year old:

take a look at that mushroom cloud. What's it make of? Gas? Is that right, it's made of gasses? Where do they come from?

When you detonate TNT every gram produces 1L of gas. TNT is a chemical compound that expands into gas creating the force that blows you up.

What about nuclear weapons? Do they expand into gas? Or do they just shoot out death rays?

There's nothing expanding in a nuke. It's fission, releasing energy in the form of gamma rays. There should be no mushroom cloud. There would be heated air but you can see from your oven that heated air doesn't turn into billowing clouds.
