"If you had done any reading up on this subject as I suggested you would have determined that the hydrocarbons on Titan are in many cases equally complex, and in some instances MORE complex."

Complex hydrocarbons found in petrol are all biogenic. I read about Cassini's finding and they correspond just to the lightest fractions of petroleum, such as benzene, unless you have a new update you might want to share.
I am what I read.

Idol

"What powers this device?"
The rider's power.

So your answer to what powers a car, is the driver?

Idol, be serious here. This post is not a trick. Please try again...

The device is only adapted to a bike...

QH she was being serious. The magnet on the wheel is spinning because of human kinetic energy.

Why ask a question when the answer is given?

Study the circuit. There is a very novel method being employed in this case.

It is not about kinetics, it is not about the bike...

Hmmm...magnetic fields and coils tipping the scales of local space equilibrium to collect and distribute electrical energy?

From where?

Re: IDOL, ARE YOU IN THE HOUSE?
no.. the driver puts his foot on the gas pedal.. the gas powers the car..

the biker peddles using the power of his body, that makes the wheels turn and powers this device... it could not power itself.... the wheel wouldn't just start spinning on it's own..

similarly, those magnetically powered emergency flashlights must be shaken back and forth to work, and they usually work like shit.

peace and love to you. :)

Re: IDOL, ARE YOU IN THE HOUSE?
I don't understand some of these comments at all. The magnet on the wheel's rim causes the stationary magnet to rotate because of repulsion when like poles re adjacent to each other -- and the rotating stationary magnet induces a current in the coil. This is exactly as in any other generator (or dynamo, if you want to call it that).

The only difference is that, instead of a turbine (powered by steam heated by coal, oil, or uranium) spinning the stationary magnet, you use another magnet to cause the stationary magnet to spin.

And what causes the moving magnet to move -- and thus do its thing -- is the wheel moving, and of course the reason the wheel moves is that someone is pedaling it.

So Idol's comment -- that it is the power of the rider causing the lights to flash -- is absolutely correct. I'm surprised that "Science Only" -- the resident ne plus ultra of scientific inquiry -- hadn't already set you folks straight.
Where's the EVIDENCE, Jim?

"Current from where?"

When a B field varies, causing free electrical charges to move (electrons in the case of electrical conductors). Reciprocally, when electrical charges move, a B field is produced.
I am what I read.
