Better iron sights, easier to mount optics on, and the action is certainly combat worthy as it is the same design as the the venerable M1A/M14 which is still in use by our military today. |

If you have both which of them do you grab first when the SHTF? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 21526860 My Ruger Mini 14 is built like a little tank. It jammed a few rounds within the first 500 at ejection, but after it was broke in, cleaned and oiled, it has not done it since. It's action is milled, and has no wimpy stamped out parts that I can see. It is ready to go any day. |

I can buy thousands of rounds for either one on a site like cheaper than dirt. Their 7.62x39 can be had for about $5 a box, compared to $6-7 for .223/.556. The only drawback is that 7.62 price is for Russian steel and not brass. The brass ammo on there is $9-11+ for a box. Probably wouldn't be a problem for the SKS though since Russian guns are made for that stuff, but they have been known to jam and gum up American guns. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 21570058 I am, I like 12 gauge #4 Buckshot All of my kills overseas were always within 50 feet, except the one on the wall ....lol M16 was a great weapon, but after a career, I love my 12 gauges. |

When the Chinese and Mexicans and South Americans invade us, you will be able to pick up spare ammo anywhere. And if the Russians join in, well their will be lots and lots of ammo laying around. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 2926765 Ammo will be impossible to find for both and both will be on the registration list. If you do not register you will be an instant felon and could be declared an enemy of the state by Obama and a name on the NDAA death list. Welcome to the USSA. God save us all... |
