Medicare begain in 1965. Then ALL HELL BROKE LOSE in medicine.
Medicare begain in 1965. Below shows the relative change in prices for various things between 1965 and now. The very bottom of this post shows the relative change in average cost of surgery between 1965 and now -- revealing that "that which is destined to be socialized is first insured."

Average Price of a Home

a 1200% increase
=====

But get this -- since Medicaid in 1965 -- the average cost of surgery has gone from $8,500 to $125,000 -- a 1300% increase.

1300% increase???? Medicare did nothing but make surgeyr ALL THE MORE EXPENSIVE LIKE CRAZY -- MORE THAN ANY OTHER THING!!!

Now, get this -- my dog had surgery and a week's stay in 24/7 nursing care as a result of a serious uterine infection. The dog nearly died but was treated, cured, recovered, and she's fine now. Total cost of surgery AND a week in 24/7 nursing care was $435.00.
Why so cheap? There is NO HEALTH INSURANCE FOR PETS as a standard practice.

What is the take-away from all this info in this post? Not only should Medicare be reformed -- MEDICARE SHOULD BE TERMINATED. ALL INSURANCES FOR ANYTHING OTHER THAN YOUR HOUSE SHOULD BE TERMINATED -- CERTAINLY ALL GOVERNMENT INSURANCES SHOULD BE TERMINATED. INSURANCE LEADS TO SOCIALIZATION. AMERICA IS A FREE CAPITALIST NATION. FREE AMERICA FROM THE GRIPS OF SOCIALISM!!!

I wonder if our Islamic brethren are allowed to pray at school now, knowing they must bow to Mecca 7 times a day?

That's what happens when the government tries to "fix" something that isn't broken.
"God forbid we should ever be 20 years without such a rebellion. The people cannot be all, & always, well informed... If they remain quiet under such misconceptions it is a lethargy, the forerunner of death to the public liberty... Let them take arms... What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots & tyrants. " - Thomas Jefferson in 1787
