Like all religions there are people who are genuine and peaceful believers. I'm just wondering since as you have stated that it has cultish tendencies does that mean the crazy is at the forefront more?
If theoretically Romney wins the presidency who would be running things him or the president of the LDS? Is the upper levels of the LDS into all the weird doctrine stuff?
