Promises of ‘immortality’ and a disease-free life have led The hope of artificial intelligence and what is known as Singularity - the merging of man and machine. The development of a ‘new species’ — a ‘borg’ of sorts.

Russian CEO Dmitry Iskov of 2045.com has enlisted the backing of the worlds richest men and women to become the Singularity AI avatar.

The Dali Lama supports this it. Disney's lab in Zurich is also backing him. Face cloning robots that look very realistic. With silicone skin on a 3D-printed model of the subject’s head to create their very own replicant, right down to the subtle wrinkle(s) and hair.

...and if that fails, along with any other breakthrough that has been promised, I really would not be surprised if the winter comes. There is already a lot of resistance to the idea of 'the singularity,' and scientific research in general. Also, take note of reduced grant funding in certain fields of research. The perfect storm is forming yet again.
