Multiple accounts of a similar occurrence from around the globe... the sun wasn't the one slowing to a crawl or standing still, it was the earth.

Simple physics. not if some freaky electro-magnetic thing was going on from the coment? I don't think that AC actually understands "simple physics." After all, the moon does not revolve on its axis like the earth does, and the moon doesn't plunge into the earth (at least not that I've noticed.)
