The dawg post, I took the same way you did, about the war in the ME. It was the numbers posted later and the quick confirmation. It's almost like a message was passed that we weren't supposed to understand.

Here's another thread from today - OP Dolamite who is a local near the sinkhole, took vids of Brazilian C130's circling low over the sinkhole. There were posts about 16 new relief wells being drilled??? I missed that...but if new wells are being drilled, might that not be what sets this whole thing off??

Hey, granny! I don't see why it would be wrong. I wondered what all the Dolamite threads were about. I missed his thread. I just saw the protest ones.

I don't know if the new wells would set things off, but I'm not a geologist. I've been concerned about the thumpers, though, after reading EC's posts the other day. We had them around our house several years ago, when they were looking for oil. I thought our poor house was going to fall apart. They weren't even close to the house. We had to sign a release not to sue for damages done to the house. We opted out of it all, so they didn't get very close to our property. I can't imagine what it would have been like if was closer.

Hey TX Buckeye! I've worried about just about everything they've done at the sinkhole. Seeing how the Oxy #3 pad site has just about disappeared, and then putting all the thumpers out there when the ground is already unstable???

I really wonder why the Brazilians were brought in. I understand the liability idea, but what experience do they bring that no one else has???? I don't remember reading about any major wells or other drilling problems where they came in to save the day. And we sure don't need brave but inexperienced people coming in and trying stuff now!!

My "doom anticipation" sensors are going off....

I have absolutely no idea why Brazilian's. I hope they DO have some different, better experience, but I don't know. I just can't believe they're using thumpers next to the sink hole. If that doesn't cause new problems, I'll eat a damned tumbleweed.

Hey, guys. Yep, I check in daily, or just about. Not much being reported, that I can find. I did see on enenews that residents are reporting that their insurance companies are declining to renew their policies on their houses, due to "increased risk". Not unexpected, but still like adding insult to injury.

Wish they would post more frequent fly-overs, post the depth changes weekly, and generally keep us more up-to-date on info.

Stopping in to see if there are any updates. It seems the area around the sinkhole/salt dome has become more active lately.

There was another slough-in yesterday, est to be 5,000 sq ft. And I read somewhere that there are cracks on the new pad they are building (I'm pretty sure it was the new one...it's been a long day!) The reports were on the Assumption Parish Jury site and enenews.

I just came to post that new info. Yes enenews saying it could be over 9 acres large now.
