We can't eat that stuff, but we can eat the critters that do eat it. In his book, "Between Two Ages," Brzezinski wrote: "The technetronic era involves the gradual appearance of a more controlled society. Such a society would be dominated by an elite, unrestrained by traditional values." MuzzleBreak |

First is facing a dwindling meat supply and second is that more and more people are pissed with non kosher processing of factory farm animals. Its done in cruel settings and animals are abused. dude you so remind me of cliffy clavin :cliffyclavin8: LOL ! I just wrote about the buffalo herds just now.. Lil Lady, Time for some Gene Autry ! |

Disagree? I present you with the Eskimo. He eats no fruits or vegetables. But here's the catch. You have to eat the entire animal...brain, eyes, organs, everything. Or you won't get the vitamins you need. |

Vegans wouldnt know about conservation and cooperation. The cows keep the wild grass aerated and fertilized while they eat, and we thin out overpopulation by eating them. (unfortunately artificial ways of feeding have skewed everything ) Take another example. Tree huggers didnt want to thin out the old trees, and guess what happens, record breaking wild fires and lost homes. If you stop the cooperation and ecology of living things, You end up with disease like India with their cows pooping on the streets and dying cause they are not managed. |

We can still raise animals like chickens again and fish/raise fish easily enough. We just will have to cut back how often we eat such foods...I am so going to suffer as I really dislike many veggies, gotta start forcing myself to eat more of them. |

A person can meet protein needs on way less than ten bucks a week eating beans, and be healthier for it. No big deal if the meat gets scarce, we will adjust, and turn more land to growing beans. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 22629686 Australia 08/26/2012 11:53 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | All you need to live well are lots of vegetables (mostly raw and green) and lots of good fats (nuts, fruit oils, olives, avocados). You can get every nutrient you need from this diet. You may like to eat other crap, since you like the taste and most likely addicted to the stimulating properties, but from your body's point of view it is unnecessary garbage that has to be dealt with. Having said this, the body is amazingly adaptive and you can live on almost anything...for a while. Think back to those recent news stories on the girl that lived only on chicken Mcnuggets and the woman who lived only on plain pizza. The African Masai men who live on a blood/milk concoction almost exclusively only live to their early thirties. The inuits would live mainly on fish/meat and blubber but did ingest some grasses, seaweeds, etc. as you do need plant matter. All this nonsense about protein is a myth that has been heavily debunked. Every food has amino acids that the body can utilise to create the necessary proteins. Since you only need less than 5% of your intake as protein when you are an infant (the most rapid growing time of you life), why would you need more than that as an adult? If you like meat, then great, knock yourself out. It doesn't bother me. Just be willing to kill it yourself, otherwise you are not worthy to be eating it. And as always in the end, you what reap what you sow :) |
